We are hiring an Environmental Scientist for our Toms River, NJ office. Successful Environmental Scientists manage multiple projects and activities while engaging in broad client contact, project design and implementation, remediation oversight, budgeting, field sampling and regulatory reporting. While working with the firm’s Senior Environmental Scientists and LSRPs, Environmental Scientists are responsible for: (1) preparing and monitoring project budgets, (2) devising and executing investigation/remediation strategies, (3) preparing regulatory reports, (4) conducting field sampling, and (5) supervising contractor personnel.

Qualified Environmental Scientist candidates should have the following skills and/or credentials.

• 2-4 years of direct site investigation and remediation experience.
• Academic degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Knowledge of regional technical requirements, rules and regulations.
• Experience collecting soil, groundwater, soil gas, sediment and surface water samples.
• Phase I and II due diligence experience is a plus.
• Experience using GIS software preferred.
• Demonstrated success in supervising sub-contractor personnel.
• Strong work ethic and collegial personality.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Sharp critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel to job sites
